I've just started setting up for casting for my Black Powder musket and thought, why not cast for my JM 1895SBL in 45-70
The only molds available to me are Lee and I am a little confused as to the appropriate mold to cast 405Gr bullets. I have been gifted a Lee Double Cavity Bullet Mold (457 Diameter) 405 Grain HB (73430790374) which being .457 would seem to be correct for 45-70.
However, I note that Lee also lists a single cavity Bullet Mold (459 Diameter) 405 Grain HB (734307902681) specifically labelled 45-70 Govt.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
