I have a 1978 JM stamped 336 in 30-30. I bought this new when I lived in OK in 1978. Started as a pistol grip, 20" barrel. Now to bring some new life into the old gal. Going to do a straight stock short barrel conversion. Bought a stainless steel straight lever. Trying to figure out if I wanted to cerakote it or what to do to get rid of the shines finish. I really like the color case hardening look. So here is what I did and how it turned out. Not too bad for my first attempt at this. What do you think? image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Definitely keep the pics coming. I've got a 336W I'm going to eventually get around to doing the same thing with and I need all the help I can get.

Waiting on parts and supplies. Pics will continue as I get parts. Haven't decided on sights yet. Going to be my ranch gun.
