I have a custom Springfield 1911 in 10mm, it is standard 1911 size and has a pretty good whack when it goes off. The delta elite has a heavier slide than normal to soak up some of the recoil. Makes it a bit more cumbersome. My springfield has a 26lb spring to help.
With light plinking loads, a real pleasure to shoot.
I think the 10mm is one of the most "under-appreciated" rounds. It has a lot going for it.

I like the 10mm ok,, just never saw a reason to switch from 45 to it.. but that just me.. I always loved the mil spec 1911's.. I don't have a fancy one.. ..
