Hello, I just joined the site and thought that I would introduce myself. I am a semi-retired wildlife biologist and range scientist. I live in far southwestern New Mexico (about as far south as you can get without being in Mexico and about as far west as you can get without being in Arizona). I am a hunter, hand loader and avid outdoorsman. Other hobbies include fishing, hiking, photography and piddling around in the shop. I own and shoot many different rifles and handguns but, for fun, I turn to my lever guns. I have two Marlin Model 1893s, one in .30-30 and the other in .25-36, and a very nice Model 39A. I am on the hunt for a .38-55, but so far I have been frustrated. I may have to opt for one of the Cowboy rifles to satisfy my itch until I find an 1893. I am looking forward to learning lots of new things about Marlin rifles, especially their lever guns. Glad to be aboard!
