Do not go to a Gun Auction after consuming several Dance Night Special Buckets of Coor's Light and dancing till weee hours then getting just a few hours of sleep before you have to be at buddies house to make it to the Auction House.
Sale bill had 4 39A's on it but no serial #'s to go by.. Since didn't have anything going on told friend would call him in the morning as we were heading out the door to shine up the bottom of our boots.
Was first time I have been to a actual gun auction , so we get there get our numbers and Pat got a catalog and order in which they were to sell. So I head off to find them and look'em over. No safe queens but neither am I , more interested in good working guns that I can shoot instead of just fondle.
Lucky for me they were pretty close together in order and didn't have to wait to long with a pounding head and gurggling stomach since when walked by food stand the maidrite smelled good and they had some nice looking kruat there to pile on top of it ,, mmmm mmmm good. So I thought.. :-X.
First up was a N pre-fix then a AA a L and finally a N all but the double A came home with me only cause I have one of those already and I got a little cheap on my bid .Afterwards thought should of hit it one more time and could of helped out a fellow Marlin Addict here but I did enough damage to the coffers the way it was and still scratchin my noggin as to what was I thinking. :
The N is a 39a in Mountie style , short bbl straight stock with a vintage post reticle bushnell 2.5x on it ,, other 2 are A's with pistol grips. All tight,no cracks or naw marks on the wood . All need a tube of shells run thru them and then a good cleaning behind the ears.
I know pics are needed ,,, but headed out to fix fence right now so mules won't wander off the place..
Till later ...
