I have a ported Guide Gun on the way and eventually want to cast bullets for it. I have been looking online and found some info that indicates that cast might not shoot well in ported guns as the bullet is deformed by the ports.

Anyone have info?

I'd say they do! That's good to know. Thanks for the info.

I guess I'll try them out whne I get the time.

From what I've read online, people get good results from an unsized, lubed, Lee .457 405 gr. I plan to try that first since the molds are cheap.

I have that Lee mold with a plain base and it drops them at 459/460. I don't size them and they shoot great out of my Guide Gun. Key

Do you have to do anything to those besides rolling them in lube?

I give them two coats of Alox/JPW and load them up. Key
