Let's hope we'll get the crumbs, so to speak. Having more primer manufacturers ought to be a plus for us sooner or later. I wonder what their time line is to beginning manufacturing? If the article mentioned it, I missed it.

We ought to be seeing the new primers soon from the new plant in TX. They said beginning to ship in Spring. I figure that translates on the shelves by summer.

With two new primers hitting the market, one would think the competition will bring the current high pricing down. At least, one can hope so.

Guess I missed something in the article if the ammo is going to the military.
Hmm, I didn't read that it's exclusively for military.

I was just making a conjunction. Since military has first dibs on OUR second constitutional rights.
Good point….maybe they shouldn’t have the munitions that go along with their foundational responsibility of defending that constitution? 😂

That legitimate priority aside, as the title eludes, we live in a capitalist society. Of course the manufacturer will prioritize ($$$) a guaranteed and steady income stream associated with government contracts before the uncertainty of the commercial market for their product.

Any new primer plant is a perk! I, and my wallet, would be very happy to see some normal primer prices.

Since the founding fathers didn't want a standing army, probably not. As to the point of capitalism, well, of course the government will give the most. It isn't their money to spend

The Federal Government gets first pick of munitions manufactured in the US from all companies licensed by the BATFE. Commercial and Civilian customers get second choice, it's the Law.

That's how the 0bama Admin kept Civilian sales of ammo/components to a bare minimum 2012-2017. And why ammo and components magically appeared after President Trump was elected. As long as the Democrats occupy the White House, there will be a shortage of commercial ammo.

0bama is the head of the snake in the US, doing the bidding of his Globalist masters. Screwing Americans out of their 2nd Amendment Rights is a top priority. Back door gun control.

Last autumn Nammo announced their plan to build primer factory to Vihtavuori, Finland. Factory should be running in 2025.

Sure, their main customers will be military and ammo manufacturers, but new plant means more primers and more available for reloaders.

The point is if the government gets first dibs on munitions(which IS unconstitutional) and are trying to limit are access to it(back-door blocking of the 2nd) then they will just buy more. Why not? We are ignorant enough to just keep giving them money despite their criminal activity. Sometimes sheep never learn they are being led to the slaughter house.
