Buffalo Bore heavy 30-30 ammo

Anyone try this ammo out on Elk or Moose? It's 190 GNS. They say it will penetrate four deer if they are positioned correctly, my guess side by side. Check out their website at buffalobore.com I believe. They say not to shoot deer with it.

Closest I have come to this load is a handloaded Hawk 190gr, but with the .030 jacket ( the BB is a .035 jacket I read). It is very accurate, easy to get 2100 fps ( but remeber, the .303 Savage had a keen reputation in Canada with a 190 around 1900fps) I keep my peep sight set for this load on my 30-30 Ackley, the scope is set on the Speer 170...I like to break bones on deer if I can, so the penetrators suit me fine. I also hunt in Black bear country, so it just "satisfies my soul" to hunt with these loads, ha.
I'm sure it's good ammo, just wondering why the need for over the top penetration.
There was a picture once of two plain Jane 170 Corelokts recovered from under the far side skin of a Moose. Perfect mushroom, I mean textbook, ..and the dead Moose.
I'm pretty sure that same bullet will break bones too, maybe not stem to stern but who would shoot a Moose in the a$$?

I think the Leverevolution is well suited for larger game.

Wouldn't it be easier and more cost efficient to use a .35Rem... assuming there's access to one.

Come to think(?) of it, would a Federal "blue" box 30-30 170gr boolit penetrate just as well on an elk? Any Federal boolit I've seen looks like they're well built. Just curious....
You can't kill a moose with anything less than a 338 Remington Ultra Mag. That is the lightest gun that will kill moose. It's been proven by all the modern gun scribes! ;D ::)

Actually, that would be stern to stem. ;)
I beg to difer I no plenty of people who swear by hunting moose with a 270 even a 243 it's all in the shot placement. People hunt moose with a variety of different calibers some more effective than others. However I wouldn't advise hunting moose with a 30-30 it's been done many times before.
45-70 500 gr fmj buffalo barnes magnum.........................break bones, engine blocks, trees , three four five deer, etc.

I read the gun mags, I just won't let my guns read them.
That stuff sounds good. But ill stick with my 35 rem. There 35 rem ammo sounds like the cats meow. 220 gr at 2,139.7 Ft./Sec. 2236 Ft./Lbs. at 100 yards. Id go after a lion with that. Big bears id take the SBL and some real big lead
