It's broken and I'm :( . Decided to swab the bore today before heading to the range and noticed excessive rattling in the bolt. Closer examination reveals broken spring, gizmo thingy at the rear of bolt where hammer hits. Question, is this one of those any dude can fixit yourself problems or do I call in professional backup? Question ,do I go with standard factory replacement or is there a better aftermarket alternative?
If this is an any dude project could someone point me to the how page. I used to have this saved but lost it in the last great internet spyware battle  Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thankyou

It is a simple repair you can do yourself. Both the front and rear firing pins are held in with a roll pins. Just drive out the roll pin and remove the firing pin.

Stumpy,
I'd certainly call Marlin and see if they will send you a replacement under warranty.

Rich
