All I can tell you is there is a chance. I think some 81 Bolts had some changes throughout production. All 80s were likely the same.

I say get one from a place that takes returns. I also am unsure if you would have any headspace issues. Probably not though.

NO, they are not. Differences in extractor (old/new) styles have different reliefs cut into the barrel face. There may even been some difference in the width of the cartridge guide springs also.

Bolts will interchange from an 80 to an 81, but the bolts have to be the correct style for the gun. Timing the bolt may be an issue also, Too loose and it won't work, if too snug you can file the lug at the handle to get the correct clearance.
