Andy,

I REALLY LIKE the Black Gold sights I've been seeing in the rimfire threads...Not sure if this has been addressed, but I just recently bought a blued one for my Mountie (also bought a solid brass for my 1894 last year). Here's my question...on the Mountie, is it possible just to order the windage insert and turn my blue sight into a black gold one? Not trying to be a cheapskate, I'm just askin'...

Thanks,

Bill

Hello Bill,

Every skinner sight dovetail windage slide is hand fit so its not possible to just send you a slide.

I can retro fit a customers sight for $30 (a bit more than ordering it already assembled since we have to fit and totally refinish the sight) OR... Consider putting a brass peep stem on your blue sight. Its not "quite" as pretty but it adds some "bling" that will give great eye appeal esp. if your rifle has a gold trigger. We have added "STEMS" to our Special Item Page @ http://www.skinnersights.com/testimonials_12.html

We also have now added spare screws and wrenches for customers wanting extras and 8-40 receiver filler screws in both blue and stainless.

Skinner "BLACK GOLD" is being ordered on about 1/2 of the sights we sell. I think folks are likeing it... :)

Not a problem at all, Andy. I will put my blued sight on another 39 I have and order a Black Gold sight for my favorite Mountie...you will be getting an order from me soon.

Thanks,

Bill

Here's what it looks like with just the brass stem. Shoots great...thanks again Andy.

Drills,

Your 39-A looks great with the brass stem...I still want to hold out for the full Black Gold set-up for my favorite Mountie, but the brass stem by itself adds a nice subtle touch of class to the rifle.
Thanks for sharing,

Bill
