howdy all... trust you've been up to no good.

i've been busy, taking the reigns and started a company of my own instead of trusting in others to follow through on what they promise. business is good, but no time for casting, shooting, hunting.

hopefully i'll be back around a bit more.

business is a software development firm known as Lakey & Associates (I'm the Lakey). We are a Microsoft Partner and the sole solutions provider for a little church down in Houston known as Lakewood Church. We also handle everything for Joel Osteen Ministries. Inventory control, Website development and maintenance, Donor Relationship Management software..

There's 7 of us now, considering I started things just to find work for myself, I'd say it's rolling along quite nicely now 3 years later. I keep hearing most businesses fail in the first year, we're 3 years in and still turning away work (that we just can't do due to lack of time/resources).

ha! hardly

i've been logging 15-18 hours a day... i bill 10-12 hours myself, then run the business on top of that. it's a bit much, i'm about ready to turn over the books to the guy who's been doing my taxes and let him do all the invoicing, receiving payments, paying vendors, and such.
