Since getting into reloading I have been looking to my 336 for any other areas of possible improvement. When I had fitted the new stock the rear barrel band was really tight and had to be tapped into place. I took to it with a file and sandpaper this weekend and now have a nice smidgeon of relief around the barrel.

Has anyone done the same thing? Was there a noticable effect on accuracy? I am getting good groups but tend to have a couple of flyers that I can't really account for.

Cheers,

Matt

Hey there earplay -- You certainly didn't hurt anything. Your next outing to the range should tell the tale. Then tell us!! By the way... You need to post bigger pictures, as I couldn't see that one. Best regards. Wind

If you pop your head down into the reloading section there's a few pics floating around ;)

Here is one of my last target, can't really explain the high and low flyers...
