Just read an article in the American Rifleman about this new offering from Barnes. Sounds like a good option for large game in the 444. Anyone with any experience or opinions.

Shawlerbrook I have not tried the Barnes 300 but have and do shoot the hornady 300 xtp with great accuracy, the best shooting bullet in my rifle. I am a lot like Pioneer, live in Canada and have a real hard time trying to get bullets,jacketed or cast.
I did have Tony 6.5x55 was going to send me some to try a few months ago and have not heared from him. Tony is a very upstanding person and willing to help anybody, I have e-mailed him and phoned him with his mesage box full. I am thinking he has fallen ill or worse, I do hope I am wrong.
Has anybody out there heard from Tony. Steve! PS sorry to get off the subject Shawlerbrook.
