SN starts with "06", is that 1994??

Which ammo seems to like it?

Laminate stock and 3X9-30 SIMMONS came withit.

What parts to stock for repairs and possible to convert to .17HMR??

Thanks.

My Marlin 22 mags shoot CCI MAXIMAG 40gn hp very well. The 30gn stuff seems to shoot bigger groups.
If you really want to convert it to 17 hmr, all you should need is a barrel and pin. The action and magazine should be the same.

Welcome to the forum, IMO it would be easier to buy an xt 17, and have two shooters.

Just joined...recently bought an 882 second hand but having a hard time finding anything out about it. Would love to find an owner's manual.

Has a birch stock...maybe originally from 25N? Great small game rifle.Totally agree on the CCI MaxiMag HP. Very consistent performance. I honestly don't see the point converting to .17. At the distances I shoot, it's very accurate and dependable.

Yes, that is a 1994.

0006-2000=1994

CCI 40gr HP and Federal blue box 50gr HP are usually winners

Gunsmith is irrelevant. Anyone can use a screwdriver to remove the action and a hammer and punch to remove a pin. The problem in converting is not cost it's finding a donor barrel ... and most 17HMR barrels are varmint profile requiring a second stock.
