I found some IMR 4198 and am wondering if anyone has an idea of the difference with H4198.

IMR4198 has gone through a change to ADI source and is advertised as temperature insensitive like the Australian ADI sourced Hodgdon Extreme line.

With the changes in sourcing it puts the printed data in question to me.

This is news to me. Thanks for the heads up. I'm sure that you know that in the 444, the IMR hits max pressure with slightly less powder and minus a little velocity. I wonder if the new batch is going to be closer to H4198. Less temp sensitivity is appreciated either way.

I got tired of the powder situation and ordered in some H4895 and IMR4198 kegs. H4198 was not available. The keg for both indicates Australian sourced.

ADI Powders Handloaders' Guide

You may pick up a clue or two here.
I'm not sure but I reckon they will be the same powder made here by ADI ( Australian Defense Industries )
Check out the "Powder Equivalents" chart, may help make some sense of it all.

Mark.
