Are there any sources for pepper grey laminate straight grip stocks?

I'm about to give up on finding a SDT 1895. I've tried bidding on a couple but I'm not paying $1000+ like some people are so willing to spend. If I just get an 1895GS and chop it down are there any sources for the pepper grey laminate stock in straight grip?

Unfortunately the factory gray/black laminate straight stocks are rare and hard to come by, they have only been made for limited run rifles..
336SDT,1895SDT, 1895GS-LTD, with checkering..
and a few limited 1894 models without checkering..

I was lucky and just happened to find one on ebay.

Brockman's has an aftermarket set, but it's over $300 and always on backorder..

It might be a longshot, but I have another idea you can try..

You're probably right..
I've seen some pictures of brockman's rifles that looked as though they had gray laminate stocks, but it just might have been how it appeared in the pictures..
All I've ever seen for sale as a package to the public was the brown laminate set, but they show a grey/black laminate on their
Super Guide Package......... http://www.brockmansrifles.com/s_guide.asp

It's listed as a Brockman's laminated stock..... might be worth contacting them.
If you go to this site: http://rifle-stocks.com/laminated_blanks.htm
It shows some blanks in various color combinations.
They do not do Marlin levergun stocks but if you know someone with a stock duplicator, it shouldn't be a problem.

I may have a set off of a 1895 STP for sale in the near future if you are interested.
slkzic,

The SDT = Straight Stock
The STP = Pistol Grip

BTW the last time I checked... You can still get the Straight stock Gry/Blk LAM from Marlin.
For what it's worth, I too have a 1895GS wtih a straight walnut stock. I also have been looking for a Straight Grip Black Laminate stock to replace the walnut stock.

I contacted Brockman's today and the gentleman I spoke with told me that they will be completing a new batch of these stock within the next 3 weeks. Price tag is about $425 per set. I'm sure that shipping will be extra. Price is a little extreme if you ask me. The rifle only cost me $650.

I would be wary of ordering this part from Marlin. I did just that earlier this year and they sent a pistol grip stock instead. Called them up to straighten it all out and they sent another pistol grip stock. The third phone call revealed they don't even stock this part though the part number is still in the system.
