A few books I've read in the last couple of years. Extremely good books, even if I don't have the authors names handy. By one author: "Sapiens", "Homo Deus" By a different guy: "Guns, Germs, and Steel", "Collapse". By a third guy: "Tulipomania". I know, I know, that last one sounds extremely boring. Trust me, it isn't.

Add to your list, The Emperor of All Maladies, Siddhartha Mukherjee. It's an historical documentary of cancer.
Fascinating read.

I've read Guns, Germs, and Steel and Collapse, both by Dr. Jared Diamond. Both excellent, although I enjoyed the former a bit more.
