I'd be all over that if I wasn't tied up in my 45/70 project. Very good looking old marlin for a fair price!

Skwirl -- just wanted to say thanks for the heads up on that 30-30 beauty. I can't get it but I appreciate seeing it. One year older than my 35 Rem.

Nice saddle ring carbine. My favorite kind. Someone needs to give it a new home where it can be loved and appreciated and used to knock down a whitetail.

I'm currently in the process of purchasing the same rifle (1968) year model from a local dealer - I've not handled many of these 60's "Texan" saddle rings but, of the few I have handled, the fit and finish seem superb. I would encourage anyone interested in a nice .30-30 to go for it! ;)

All the 336 SRC's that I'v handled had a higher grade wood than the run-of-the-mill 336 from that era. This one might be worth a closer look.
