Open morning was greeted with gobbles from three different birds then nothing. About 8 am this guy and his 8 feathered lady friends did a walk buy from 100 yards. Despite my decoys and begging calls he walked. About 9:30 he comes strolling back through the same area. I abandoned the blind and caught a blind spot so I cut the distance down. The 10 gauge barked at what turned out to be 46 steps and his hen hoarding days were over. He was very heavy 10 inch beard and 1 1/4 spurs.

That's the old saying here in the low swampy land I live in. "We have skeeters big enough to stand flat footed and breed a turkey". Nice hunting and shooting and a very nice big Osceola Tom. Thanks for sharing with us.
