I used to carry a M1 in High School during the early 80s on the AFJROTC Drill Team. Put a few back together in Haiti during 95' when deployed there and have owned several others in the past. Seems my son gets to open another package from CMP before me (he opened the M1 Carbine last year too) 76 more days til I go home.

Nice rifle.

If I shoot in an NRA high power match at the club I belong to, supposedly the match director can give me whatever paper work I need so I can actually buy a CMP M1. I know they want you to shoot in some sort of sanctioned match or what not to be able to purchase one.

Very, very nice Garand, there, CD. Lots of late SA parts, which are among the very best, stamped trigger guard, nice wood...outstanding.
