Hello all! New to the lever world. Just aquired a Western Field 740 form my wifes g-pa. A few years back I was looking hard at the Marlin 336's, but ultimitely decided on a .270 Ruger. Kinda glad I waited now since this little honey looks to be a delight. Wish I had taken pics before I stripped it down and started refinishing. Hope to have it back together by the weekend. Pics will follow.

Already found tons of info tonight. Thanks for a great sight. Can't wait to start my lever endevor. Already started getting components lined up for some reloading!! ;D
