Just got back from the local gun shop. They had Accurate 2015 on sale for 9.95 a pound. Bought two pounds because I'm still fooling around with finding some good loads for my 45/70, and it seemed like a great deal. Also bought a pound of IMR 4198 same price.
What kind of experience have you guys had with these powders, good or bad?

Gurn -

Have used it (aa2015) in 218 bee thru 458 Lott - meters well, burns well, and shoots well - in the RL10x H322 class, about half way btwn vvn130 and 133; but is quite temperature sensitive: in 444 marlin, 240gr jsp, wlr, 52gr aa2015 @32degF = 2010fps, @72degF = 2106fps, @116degF = 2191fps.

do shoot straight,
greg

Never used the AA-2015. The IMR 4198 is among the best of the powders for the .45-70, and if I had run into it at $10 a pound, I would not have left any on the shelf.
