Just to make it clear to the first timers.
I didn't see it anywhere, but I would imagine only 5 bullet holes are allowed on the target not a dozen or more and they count your 5 closest to the center bull. Just 5!

I'll defer to Big Medicine and/or Sidespin but I would agree, it should only be 5 holes on each target unless you're like me and it may be one large ragged hole. ;D

Check all targets for powder burns......
We might want to add also. Having a good solid backer behind your target rather then a shot up gaping hole behind it will reduce tears and give good clean holes to measure. A raggedy beat up torn target will get a lousy measurement and probably score for the worse! ;)

1895Gunner from what ive seen if you dont pretty much have one big gaping hole you won't score well! :D
Yes only 5 holes on a target no patched holes. :p
I keep my targets in a 3 ring binder but all the holes are to the left of the printing for addresses. Please tell me this is not "altered". Fom
Up to Big Medicine but as far as I'm concerned we could sure tell what those holes were for. Again, up to Big Medicine....

That is ok
Thanks guys, I'm gonna grab my binder and go shoot some paper right now. Fom
It helps to have thicker stock paper stapled to a thin piece of ply wood or thick cardboard.

Actually, in 2008 I submitted a target with six holes, got carried away. It was actually as good as any other but I belive it was kicked out.

I usually shoot 10, but I shoot the 2nd 5 through the holes of the 1st 5, so it doesn't matter! ;D

this is good....The BS is starting early ;D
For some reason the smaller target is the only one that will print out. Is the smaller target for the 100 yards or do I have to somehow printout the bigger one?

You gotts ta shoot that itty bitty round circle at 100 yds. ;D ;D ;) Fom

I always put 5 through one hole...so, does that mean I can just shoot 1 round and conserve ammo?

I don't have a problem with the smaller target. The center ring is more then I need just don't want to send in the wrong target with a perfect score and be disqualified. The last time out was shooting 4 shots 3/4" groups and I took out the cross in the center ring @ 100 yards. I was shooting the 338MX.

They measure the distance of the farthest hole from the center so it really doesn't matter the size, however my target prints out perfect.

Don't be so sure as I think Big Dawg is thinking about some oddball way of measuring. ;D ;D
As long there are only 5 shots per target a person enter as many times as he/she likes? Also are open sights strictly limited to the 25 yards?

I might have to light a fire under me butt and get my Model 93 done and commence to a shoot'n and lots of it. ;D

A person can enter as many times as they like up until the cutoff date but you might want to save them up and send in your best when you're done. That would save the team leaders or Big Medicine or Sidespin some time & effort.... ;D

Iron or open sights are for the following:

Rimfire 25 yards
Centerfire 50 yards
All other ranges are scoped

Rimfire @ 25 yds is scope or rion?
Centerfire @ 50 yds.is scope or rion?

All fired @ the same printout target
