More pics

The first pic is my daugether's first buck.
Dad was is the blind with all his grandkids when they took their first buck.
The second is a pic from the early seventies...the two men in the pic
were his best friends and had just came back from Vietnam.
The one holding the bobcat died several years ago.
The other is still living and is a close friend of mine. He is wearing a wooden
Wheem's predator call around his neck, which i have, with the original box,
on a shelf behind me.
The bobcat was mounted and hung in our house in town for many years.
The next pic is dad with leynie's first hog.
The last one is the biggest buck dad ever killed.
We knew about that buck and hunted him 3 years before dad killed him.
The evening dad finally got him was the first time either of us had seen him.
He killed that deer with a pump .243
I forget what he scored, but he made the top ten in the state that year.

Great job Navajo, he is looking down and bet he's proud you.
I sure enjoyed talking with him when we were down there a few years back.
Here's one of him and myself.
Think RB took it.

I made the same promise to my dad also! He never seen the inside of a nursing home! He passed away in 2000 at 85. I was going to cut his hair that day, but he passed away before I made it there! I shaved him and cut his hair at the morgue at the funeral home.
Thanks for all the great pictures! He is proud of you.

Dad gave me a Remington model 788 243 rifle when i turned 12.
I gave it to my son when he turned 12.
I wish i'd taken a pic of it when i was down there today.
we played this song at Dad's funeral, as background music for the slide
show.
I also played this one for him as well.

I've grieved and i'm okay with it.
If i could talk to him one more time...i'd tell him again what a great man he was and
thank him for being what all he was, and still is to me.
I hunted with him every deer and squirrel season from 1977 to 2017.
Lot of memories....Great memories.
I can't even recall it all, but lately things have been bobbing to the top and
i like it.
I hope you all enjoyed this and maybe it jogged some good memories of
your father for you as well.
Keep them close and tell them you love them.

What a great father. Even though I didn’t know him, this tribute is proof of that!
I am sorry you had to lose him, and lose him in that manner. But, because of you, your dad will live on.
Thanks for sharing some of your memories, and pics. And thanks for the pics of the beautiful rifles. Your dad had good taste in firearms for sure.
There sure are some good people on this forum, and you are for sure one of the good fellas. Guess you owe that to dad as well.....
And by the way, brought tears to my eyes. I’m sure others are shedding a few as well. I’ll be praying for you!

This one deserves more than just a like...
