A few Marlin "firsts"
My daughter and her first gun, a Marlin 15YN bolt action, .22, youth single shot rifle. I attached a brass oval plaque to the stock that reads, "To my daughter Lauren, 2002, Love, Dad":
The first gun I ever bought. A used Marlin 1894 .357 magnum I found for $150 at a gun show in 1985. My dad cut the barrel down to just over 16" for me (he re-crowned the muzzle with hand files) and I refinished the stock and forearm to a satin oil finish. My dad also did a little work smoothing the action and I put a Williams receiver sight on it:
My daughter's first Cowboy Action Shoot. She's shooting my Marlin 39M:
My first ever hunt. Wild boar in Tennessee with my custom 16" Marlin 336 (100th Anniversary 1870-1970 model) Scout Rifle:
