Ive noticed that doug turnbull restorations of 1893/93's usually includes
a blued bolt, how many of you guys have run across originals with blued
bolts. I wondered if they originally came that way, but i have only seen one other (a '93 sporting carbine) other than the restored ones and wasn't sure about it. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

I haven't seen a lot of 1893's with blued bolts, but about half the '93's I've seen were blued bolts. Especially those later 1920's to mid 1930's model '93 Marlins.
I think Turnbull's is doing the blued bolts because the two tone has a nice look to it, even if it's not always accurate to the gun's original finish.
