SqS would be correct in saying the stocks are different, the 882's stock is a little better quality then beach wood. Borrowed a buddies 882, which inspired my 25mn purchase. The other difference is in the factory sights. 882 - a dove tail design, 25mn - standard rifle sights. I went with a scope from day 1 so it didn't matter. Other then that they are identical.
Btw; if you get some glass for either one and the the a/o is 42, you'll need high mounts to clear the barrel.

i just acquired a 882SSV and own a 25MNC....The SSV has a heavy(Bull?) barrell in stainless with a semi floatins synthetic stock that has an extra bedding lug near the receiver/trigger guard....It has a ponderously heavy trigger with almost NO creep....the muzzle has a convex crown immediately around the bore...looks fairly symetrical....the 882 is a much more solid feeling and looking gun than the 25MN imho( the 882 barrel is about 2 inches shorter that the 25mn's)
