Numrich has a couple of different Marlin 795 stocks in stock of wood! Just ordered a laminated hardwood and a type of rear sight I've not seen on them before.

MidwayUSA used to carry a solid birch and a laminate for the 795 but no longer does. I can only guess whoever was making them stopped.

Numrich had NONE a month or so ago. Now they have a couple of different stock numbers listed again.

The sight I ordered is STOUT compared to the stamped/folded metal that is on the rifle now. It appears to have a set screw to hold it in the dovetail, with another screw in the body for elevation.

Sounds like a Model 60 sight. That's what mine (60) had on it when I bought it.

Hey guys -- That sight is made by Williams. You can change out the leaf to one that is lower or taller by loosening the screw and just sliding it out of it's dovetail. Hope this helps. Best regards. Wind
