Remove the magazine tube and make sure the gun is empty. Open the bolt,take the safety off and squeese the trigger. Continue to hold the trigger back and gently pull the bolt back out of the breech. I have one of these myself..... Good luck with your Marlin!
783 Bolt Removal
Does the bolt in a 783 come out? I've had mine for years and have never been able to remove the bolt. I've tried holding down on the trigger and pulling it to the rear but it doesn't want to come out.

Do you see any problem removing barrel assembly from stock, looking at doing a deep clean?Remove the magazine tube and make sure the gun is empty.
