I have a U.S. Arms Abelene colt .45. I also have a freedom Arms .454 casull. I had both to the range, and got curious. I tried the .454 in the Colt chamber and it went right in the full length. Of course there was no thought of shooting it, just wanted to check. I believe the Abelene was produced before the .454 came into being so there was no need to ream the chambers different. I make sure the ammo is double checked before loading. Just got to wondering if anyone checked to see if the .454 would chamber in the .45 Colt Marlin.
