I’m considering about taking my 9 year old son to Ohio for the youth deer hunt this year.
He was shooting 50 yards or so, what do y’all think?

It’s seen its better days
My son will be practicing on hogs in our lease in Georgia and doing some deer hunting in South Carolina before we go to Ohio. Practice and more practice!

Go for it! I started my at 7years with a Ruger 44 carbine. Biggest problem I had was waiting in the tree stand and hearing "Dad when are they coming"

I think he’s ready for Ohio, got a doe at 170 yards with my .308 this past weekend in South Carolina. Not bad for a nine year old.
