You might have to clean up the edge of the outer tube even when you get it back to round and to correct size, as it appears there are some flareing on the edge of the mouth of the outer tube. Any machinist coule use small hole or telescoping gages and give you an exact diameter of the inside of the outer tube so you can have a mandrel turned to allow you to

If I would have used a pin gauge of the correct size, I could have peened it to the original diameter, but I was in a hurry. Being a little too long for the pin to fit into the notch, I filed a little off the end of the outer tube. If I get it to fit within the end piece, the pin will sit too low. However, I could probably find an O ring to fit into the end cap that would make it work. Thoughts?
