39A "K" prefix straight grip info needed

Picked it up last night. Condition in the 90% range, "K" prefix, stamped 39A on the barrel, skinnier than normal forearm, straight grip, 24" barrel with ballard rifling, and round lever. What is this? Not a Mountie, right? Hopefully, I will have some pics this evening. I know useless without them. Thanks, moodyholler

You have a 1953 Mountie. Only 24" Mountie made. Here is the catalog pages showing it.
Even though I just looked at the description, and it says 20" barrel. But I know that there was a 24" barrel version made, and the picture dos show a 24" version. ???
