39A Golden cleaned up

Here are a few pictures of my newly acquired 39A vintage 1962 after I cleaned it up a bit. I cleaned it with Murphy's oil soap first, and after a few days gave it a light coat of tung oil. It got a second coat after 24 hours. I didn't want to refinish it, just clean it up and protect it a bit. The white spacers had to be replaced also. The old ones disintegrated when I pulled the butt plates off. My photography skills do not due this old gun justice.

Very nice. Love the grain in the stock. It seems that they had some nice wood to work with back then. My 1964 model has some nice wood also.
