I was lucky enough to have my 38-55cb shoot really well with the tried and true 10gr unique/wet dog load and I know this is cheating but I'm gonna ask anyway. For ballpark purposes does anyone have a drop card made up that they would be willing to get me close with? I realize it may not play the same but in my part of the country we don't have much bullet splash. So no visual cues. We have to bush hog around the target boards just to keep the grass low enough. Anyone with this gun/load combo willing to share?

Hey Sparky- I can give you the MOA settings via PM from my MVA tang sight if that will help.

HD, which MVA did you go with?
I use the MVA #108. After the Happenz IV and the 900 yard dinger which was 325 vertical feet higher than where we were positioned, I'm considering the #107 for my next purchase. I had the 108 maxed out and had to use Kentucky windage to nail it.

I was having to guess at the BC a little but it looked pretty close to what my 10 grain Unique loads shoot like out to 200 yards. Never shot my 38-55 any farther than that.... yet.
It should help get him on the target for sure.

.

Hey BA

That chart is very close if I am reading it right. That is plus or minus only a few minutes of what my 38-55s with MVA sights do at each distance. My Unique loads average about the same speed, too.
