I just got a .357 1894 and have yet to fire it. I couldn't resist fiddling around one evening and slugged it. I was impressed with the smoothness of the bore and the lack of constriction at the rear sight dovetail. The odd thing is the dimensions I got. It ranged .3558 to .3562 on two slugs. It seems it should do well with 9mm bullets with measurements that tight.
Has anyone else tried slugging theirs? Just curious.
Thanks.

That's pretty tight... mine goes .357 on the nose. I wonder if you have a constriction under the barrel stamping or dovetail? You might get good results with 9mm bullets, and they're cheap enough to try. Most of the reports here show best accuracy with 158 grain or heavier bullets though.
