I shot a nice eat'in doe this morning at about 60 yards. She was quartering away, and ran about 40 yards before dropping.

That 158g Remington SP at 1370 fps performed perfectly as usual. It hit the back of the facing lung, clipped the top of the heart, and dead centered the off side lung before exiting tight behind the off shoulder. The blood trail started just a few feet from where she was standing, and was impressive right to where she fell. The exit was about quarter sized.

I changed my revolver load slightly, and here was the load...

Starline 357 brass
158g Rem. 158g SP
CCI 550 primers
17.5g of Lil' Gun

Velocity.....1370 average from a 5.5" barrel, with a very tight ES. Accuracy is minute of clay bird at 75 yards from sitting position

Congratulations, and nice shooting !

I've thought of tree stand hunting with a revolver, but need to
get something with a longer barrel than my 4" GP100. I'd
love to get a BH like yours - maybe after Christmas...
