The 356 I found had been neglected. A little rust here a little rust there. You know what I mean. Stock could be refinished etc. What do you think if I use factory parts. Are these getting too valuable to even mess with. Current price on one on auction arms or gunbroker is at $1210. Granted, it looks almost new.

Little gun oil and 0000 steel wool takes care of the rust, I wouldn't refinish the stocks I would replace them to use and hold the originals to put back on if someone wants it that way. You get what you want for current use, they make the decision when you sell.

Ouch, I just looked at the one up for bid again. It's up to $1410 with a couple of days left. Scary. Plan to play with this one for a long time. No kids to leave it to so, I'll shoot it til I physically can't. Still need that 375. That could distract me for a while. Rick

Did you buy it for shooting or selling? Make yourself happy. Life's too short to worry about a couple of extra dollars in your estate.
