336SS with Leupold's new 1.5x - 4x variable scout scope, Leupold Alumina flip-up scope caps, Leupold PRW low rings, and XS scout mount. I removed the front sight and filled the holes with plug screws, ground down to fit for length, and the rifle is wearing a nylon "SuperSling."

To the range this weekend to sight in, then to the woods next month for (hopefully) a decent buck.

Sorry for the not-so-great iPhone picture.

Looks good but why did you remove and fill the front screw holes? Cooper's concept of a "scout" rifle included backup ghost ring sights so I'm curious.

I agree with Kingstrider on the front site - - looks NEKID - - and what if your scope gets busted in the woods? You have nothing as a backup unless you carry a backup scope in your pocket!
