Does anyone know if the 336 xlr stock and forend will fit on a 336 ss?
I have emailed marlin and found most of their reps no nothing about the firearms they sell. Lol

So anyone know the real answer to this?

Thanks

The buttstock will fit but the forearm is completely different between those models. The XLR uses a cap on the forearm whereas the 336SS uses a rear barrel band. It is possible to change to a forearm cap but you will need to cut a dovetail on the bottom of the barrel for the forearm tip tenon. I was going to do something similar to copy the 336SDG but put it on the back burner for now.

Do you think if I send it back to marlin they could/would do it?
