I am real happy with my Leupold Rifleman 2-7X33. That's what I put on my 1965 Revelation 200 (336). For a variable scope it has a trim profile that sits nicely on a levergun.

GJ, How do you like those 4x4 rings from simmons/weaver. I have two sets, one on my 35 remmy and one set on my 300 mag. I love them but was wondering if you have long term experience with them. They look really nice in my opinion.

That sure is nice looking! I can't wait to get my hands on one. All of the gun shops here in Delaware haven't heard of the XLR. I guess that they don't need my money! I would order one through gunbroker but by the time I pay for shipping and the FFL transfer fees, I will end up paying an extra $80 bucks. I will probably wait until the next gun show at valley forge. I'll just have to do with my 336cs for now!

ss, I've got a 1894PG 44 mag. Absolutely super little carbine. Very accurate, fun to shoot and the whitetails that have met it really don't like it at all.

I guess it will be a while before I get one. Pretty, but I wish they had a longer mag tube.
