Pards,
I've never seen anything like this before. All the screws, both barrel bands, and the mag tube end cap are all gold plated. AND yet the hammer & trigger are stainless. Everything else appears normal. It's a336CS from 1983 in 30-30.

What do you experts have to say about it?

It was orphaned at my LGS. (check out that past tense verb).

Numrich had/has the barrel bands somewhere in their inventory, as to the screws someone had them plated, but this is just my thoughts. Mr fixit

If that was mine, I would be feeling like the song "don't worry, be happy". Nice looking rifle, I am glad you stepped in, manned up and did the right thing by adopting that rifle.

PS - sorry no clue as to all the fancy work that has been done.

Glad you gave that poor thing a home! I've not seen such bling on a Marlin before, but I doubt it affects the shooting.
