Well, I just finished loading some 200gr Rem Core Lokt RN's over Hodgdon's Leverevolution powder, Wincehster cases and CCI BR2 primers. I crimped them all with the Lee FCD. Anyhow, hopefully I will get out tomorrow and shoot the 35 Rem and Win M94AE 30-30, loaded with 170gr Sierra, LVR powder, CCIBR2's and WW cases also. I am not really into the speed thing with these two rifles since they both have Williams 5D Receiver sights on them. Not looking for gopher loads, but it will be cool to see what they do. Should be good deer rifles in the close woods.

Just as a caution to you all (new fellers), if you buy one lever gun, they will all reproduce. Soon, there will be more and more in the safe. They are such good handling rifle. Hard not to like them. Sorry for the pictures of the Winchester, but I just thought it looked pretty decent out in the woods with the Marlin! Scotty

Thanks LT! I like them both a bunch, but really think the Marlins are a little sturdier, at least to me. Plus, I like the lock up on the Marlins more, but overall, this Winchester seems just fine also. I have it roughly zeroed with 170gr Silvertips, but now it will get a full run down with the LVR powder and some 170gr Sierras. Scotty

Nice wood on the Marlin! I grew up hunting with a win 30-30. Put a lot of meat on the table.
