I got an email from Marlin the other day and I saw a youth 336 with a shortened stock and a 16 1/4 inch barrell. Perfect youth gun. That got me to thinkin. I could cut the stock down on my 30tk and cut and recrown the barrell to 16 1/4 inch barrell and have a new dovetail recut. What y'all think? I have a little one that will be shootin shortly.

You won't know the difference between a 16 1/4" barrel and an 18". Leave the barrel be and put on a youth stock.
