I loaded up some 150 gr Barnes X FN bullets (save the condors dumnuts) using Hodgins LVR powder. The load came from the latest Hodgins loading data. I was supposed to get 2500 fps but the round was hitting 4" lower than my load that I have chronoed at 2350 fps so I know I wasn't getting anything faster than that. Has anyone else tried the Leverusion powder?....did you get the expected FPS from your Loads?

You can't know the velocity by gauging POI. You have to shoot it through the Chrony. I have slower loads that hit much higher than faster loads. It depends on the bullet and barrel harmonics.

Chronograph the load to actually see what it is doing.

I'm loading 43grs LRV with the 160 FTX in the 308 ME. and POI is nerly the same as the Factory FTX loads at 100yds and good groups. My A 2520 loads at 40.5 grs with the FTX group very well but the POI is 2'' high at 100 yds. I think the LVR powder is more forgiving than the A 2520 through the different loads I worked up but the A 2520 works good when you find the groove. Dennis

A2520 also shoots higher than factory LE in the 338 ME. Even when the velocity is 100 fps slower.
