I tried to get some a few weeks ago, no one had any, so I wound up with 300 gr. JSP Speers . I found them to be very accurate.

Many years ago the Sierra 300gr did not do well in my bullets tests with the 444.

Hi fellow 444 fans I have loaded from 240 gr. to 300 gr. of different brands in my 1972 444S and haven't found one load that wasn't accurate out 50 or 100 yards yet. But I haven't shot every brand yet. But I'm certain all jacket 44. cal. bullets from 240 to 300 grains would be accurate in the Marlin 444 rifles And most powders too.

My last time at the range I tried WLR., IMR.8208XBR [49.0gr.] Rem. 300 gr. HP.

Is that a 44 cal 300 gr Remington bullet? I did not know that such a critter exists.

Sure looks like 44 cal. holes in the targets. I also was unaware of a Remington 300 gr. bullet for the .444.

I bought these bullets quite some time ago. They were being pushed back and forward on my reloading bench. I really have no reason to load 300 gr. bullets of any brand because HDY. 265gr. can take care of anything in north America.

I just got the interest to try to duplicate the power of the 405 Win.

I have no idea if Rem. sells 300 gr. HP 44. cal still. I bought these from midwayusa in their own packages under a rename of "Reme". It's to bad we can get .430", 300 gr. HP. Remington anymore because it's a nice option for the 444 cartridge the cannelure is in the right place.

I think when I run out I'll use 300 gr. Speer or HDY. and push it to about 2200 fps.
