30" barrel 1893 30-30

Well heres a few pictures of another long barreled marlin i have! this baby is no safe queen ! ;D ;D it does have a tang sight and with that long sight radius should be pretty accurate. I haven't shot it . Marlin model 1893 30-30 s/n 258563. sorry about the picture quality i'm not much of a photographer !! Don

Don,
I've got the twin to that rifle, except mine is in .38-55. Mine might have a little stronger blueing than yours, and it has what I believe to be a factory installed Lyman Combination (Beeches) front sight. Mine was made in 1902 with a s/n of 234XXX. She shoots like a dream.

Wishbone, A mirror has more bluing then this rifle !!! ;D shes pretty much silver all over, i should go out and shoot mine with that long barrel im sure its fun. how well does yours shoot? those 38-55 rifles were damned accurate. Don

I had a chance to buy an 1893 with a 30" barrel years ago but turned it down. I think it was in .30-30 and that is one I now regret not buying as the price was very fair on it.

Don,
This one of mine is pretty good. I'll get some pics of her up next time I get a chance, which may be in a couple of weeks.
I'm real busy now with my firefighters.

I jokingly refer to those long ones, as "trap guns". They are sure neat.
