I am helping the widow of a friend sell some of the stuff her late husband had including three Marlin barrels of which this is one. It is a 20-inch barrel is marked on the left side with Pat. 1870 Microgroove Barrel.
The barrel doesn't say anything about being for the Texan model.
Any insight would be helpful for this barrel.
Thank you.

No, but it would be more important to determine what this barrel will fit. Such as is it a 20" barrel for a barrel-band type, full length magazine with front sight ramp, fore-end cap type with full length magazine and dovetail front sight, or a fore-end cap with 2/3 magazine and ramp front sight etc...

Is there anything on the left side like "336", "336RC", "336SC" ?

A 20" microgroove barrel could fit any modern 336 in the correct configuration as N578MD suggested.

An 18.5" barrel would likely be for a "T" model such as a Marlin 336TS, Glenfield 30GT, or 30TK, etc. but would still need identification for mag tube and forearm specs.
