I use the Velocitor and have good accuracy out of my 39a and my Henry. I don't know about the powder or the loadings, only that they work well on medium size critters like coyote, fox, racoon, and badger. I don't have a crono yet so I don't have any data on it. I have used them on coyote with good results out at 70 yds or so, I wouldn't want to go much past that distance. They hit hard and expand very well at close range and longer shots out at 100 - 125 yds still have a good thump on jack rabbits and stop them quickly where as regular or standard velocity hp may take 2 or three shots on jacks.
I also use the CCI V-Max 30 gr. 22 mag ammo, it is very accurate in my 882ss, it is advertised at 2200 fps and a lot of shooters claim they are getting closer to 2300 out of them. I do know at 165 yds they will dump a jackrabbit in a heap, then just poor contents out in a red soup. I did hear they were using a new powder for the 22 mag loadings with the 30 gr. bullets. Hornady and CCI are both making the same load with Hornady using a red tip and CCI black. I switch back and forth between the two and not any difference I can tell, my rifle stays on zero with either one. Same with the CCI 30 gr. HP+V but it is just slightly less accurate but still better than others I have used.
One company was offering a 22 mag 30 gr. V-Max adv. at 2350 fps. If I remember correctly they were called Down-under guns and ammo in Australia. They claimed their load was a new type powder compressed to the max pressure loading. I never could find it available and always sold out and back ordered. It was priced accordingly at around 20.00 per 50 rounds and that was 2 years ago.
